What Your Body Type Needs – What Is My Body Type

Ever notice that some people tend to lose weight easily while others take a lifetime just to shed off 1 pound? While others just seem so lucky that doing a little exercise can sculpt their bodies to a Michelangelo finish. Well, let’s just say that they were predestined to be like that. Some call it genetic, but I’d like to look at it as a choice. Yes, a choice. Although you were given the predisposition to a particular body type, you can still salvage it and redirect it to the body type you desire.

So, you may be asking yourself, what is my body type?

According to research, there are actually three body typesectomorphmesomorph, and endomorph body types. These body types have distinct characteristics between and among each other. For one, an ectomorph or the skinny type can have a difficult time gaining weight and putting up muscles regardless of how much he eats. An endomorph, on the other hand, finds it easy to gain weight fast; losing weight can be a challenge to them. While mesomorphs, who seem to be the luckiest among the three, can lose weight easily and maintains it that way and develops muscles with no difficulty.
These body types have a lot to do in our fitness. The inclination of being naturally fat or thin or muscular can dictate what kind of exercise one must adapt or practice. Let’s say that you are an ectomorph, of course, you need not limit your calorie consumption, and as a matter of fact, you need more calories. Also, an exercise that can help build muscles would be the best workout for you. Weight training or strength training is advisable. However, if you are an endomorph, you need to monitor what you eat, make sure that what you consume will not go to the unused portion of your body and transform into fats later on. A strict diet is a good way to lose weight. For the workout program, perhaps cardiovascular activities and interval training are useful to help you lose those excess pounds. If you are afraid of trying fitness equipment on your own, ask a fitness expert or a gym instructor, I’m sure he can help you decipher the right workout regimen for you. Finally, the mesomorphs, little efforts are needed to gain muscles and even to lose weight. I would just suggest that you maintain whatever it is you’re doing and I’m sure you’ll be fine. Don’t bask on unhealthy foods and continue with the exercise routines.
Genetics play a role in your body composition, but you still have a choice.
